A story of our own

From the mouths and wisdom of my sisters Gwen and Suzanne in "One: Impossible Starts Here"

" Though all of us believers are called by God to conform our hearts to what He loves and values most, some of the specifics for how this plays out in our lives are as individual as His creation of us...

None of us should be wanting or aspiring to another person's journey or story, when we've got a journey and story of our own to be living out and experiencing...

The plan He's created for you (and me) is chock-full of abundant blessing and purpose all on its own without feeling the need to stand it side by side for comparison with somebody else's."

-Suzanne Mayernick &Gwen Oatsvall

DEEP BREATH. Time out.

This means you can DROP YOUR MEASURING STICK. For yourself. Your spouse. Your children. Your parents. Your ________.

I love me some social media as much as the next person. It serves as a tool to connect with some of our family and favorite people all around the world. But it can so often be used as a measuring stick. Satan loves to use his game of comparison.

In fact, I have seen it in my own life and so many others. We spend so much time looking at blogs, books, posts, pictures, TV, etc... and forget that we have our own life to live. Don't get me wrong. I believe many of those avenues can be used by God to encourage and "spur one another on toward love and good deeds" (Hebrews 10:24). But if you are constantly comparing your story to another or feeling inadequate that your life is "less glamorous" or "worthy"; you are believing a lie. period. And when that happens.. those avenues need to go and be replaced with truth- scripture.

Don't miss what He has for you today because you are too worried about it looking like what He has for someone else.

I am 1/2 way through this fabulous book

and slowly grasping the holy ground we stood on 4 years ago in the presence of the miracles below. You will have to read chapter 5 to get a small glimpse into the lives of JosieLove and Maggie

Jer looked over at me on our plane ride home from New York and asked why there were BIG OLE TEARS running down my face. No matter how many times I read the stories of these precious ones, something deep inside me wells up. This is Jesus' story. Their pictures now hang in our home as a reminder to say "yes" and live a "love one lifestyle"
